1. Laser Distance Measurer
I use this tool all. the. time! For us DIYer's, trying to measure a wall really long by yourself is really difficult.
Not with this guy!
This laser distance measurer is the easiest tool to use and works so well when you need to take quick measurements. A definite must-have!
2. Nix Mini Color Sensor
Have you ever lost the paint can or forgotten what color something was painted?
Or maybe you moved into a new place or your neighbor has the best exterior paint color…
Either way, this tool is perfect for the DIYer who wants all the details on the paint colors on or in any home. I love this tool so much because it takes the guess work out of deciphering color!
If it looks good, I can figure what color it is in a flash. This is a great stocking stuffer for any DIYer!
3. Best Stud Finder
I happened upon this stud finder after years of faulty stud finders.
Finding studs is annoying.
But when I saw the electrician using this one, I had to have it. It works just as good as I hoped. A great addition to the DIYer toolbox!
4. Brad Nailer
This is one of those tools you don't realize you need until you have one which makes it a great gift idea!
I got this one last year for Christmas and it has been awesome to whip up projects like my DIY Christmas wood sign.
5. Painter Tripods
Speaking of stocking stuffers… These have worked so well for me with various projects, including my $100 bathroom makeover.
These guys are simple, yet handy!
6. MakerX Rotary Tool
If you've been around a while, you've seen me use this fun tool for so many fun projects, including my DIY Christmas Eve box and my DIY Wood Herringbone Pattern sconces.
I love this tool so much because it is extremely portable, lightweight, and you can connect all kinds of fun gadgets to it to cut tile, airbrush paint, and a even a wood and metal crafter!
At this price, it's a great mid-level gift for your fave DIYer
7. Clamps
As all woodworkers and DIYers will say, you can never have enough clamps!
If they are just starting out, having a variety of sizes, 12-in, 24-in, 36-in, will be helpful.
If they have are long-time DIYers, consider what kinds of projects they work on most and determine a size from there.
I finally bought myself some clamps last month so I could make my DIY Christmas wood sign. Worked like a charm!
8. Sliding Miter Saw
This is another one of my Christmas gifts from last year. If your DIYer wants to get more into woodworking, this is one of the greatest, most helpful tools I own so far.
When I was making my DIY Christmas wood sign, I had Home Depot cut the wood for me, but the measurements were off by a touch so it wasn't lining up correctly.
With my handy-dandy miter saw, I was able to quickly fix the problem and get to work. So convenient!!
9. Compact Drill & Impact Driver with Drill Bits
I have this on my Christmas list this year because an impact driver is so much more powerful than my standard drill.
And of course if you're going to get the latest and greatest drill and driver, you'll definitely want to add in the fun drill bits, too!
10. Caulking Tools
I don't know if you've ever tried to caulk anything, but, seriously, caulking is annoying!
I couldn't believe how artistic I needed to be to get it to do what I needed it to do lol. I finally gave up and ordered this set of tools to make the caulking job in the bathroom much simpler.
I haven't used it yet, but I read great reviews and I'm excited to give it a try!
11. Magnetic Wristband
DIYers are constantly in the zone when working on a project.
This handy tool will make sure you or your DIYer won't misplace any important pieces because it's magnetic!!
Again, this is on my Christmas list.
12. Contour Gage
I found this awesome tool a little too late.
After completing the peel and stick flooring in the bathroom and messing a few times with my cuts, I looked into this.
According to my research, this one is legit awesome. Definitely worth it for the avid DIYer.
13. Power Tool Storage
Tools everywhere? Ya, me too. If your DIYer (or you!) don't have any storage for these awesome tools, Christmas is the perfect excuse to get some!
I've heard great things about this one!
14. DeWalt 20-in Scroll Saw
This is on my wishlist!
I've actually had this on my wishlist since I attended a conference back in July 2019 lol.
It is so easy to use and the DeWalt one is the best out there.
This fun tool can be used to make pretty signs out of wood.
I can't wait to get one! Maybe this is the year! (hint to my fam if you're reading this lol)
15. Self-Leveling Laser
I've done a lot of accent wall and stencil projects, including our guest bedroom and our small bathroom.
Not only is this tool helpful for stenciling, but it's also helpful for hanging literally anything.
If you or your DIYer hang a lot of things or want to create accent walls the easy way, this is the best tool ever!
16. Interior Spray Gun
Speaking of best tools ever… this is literally the Best. Tool. Ever!
For an avid DIYer and lover of room transformations and makeovers, I hate painting lol.
I'm a perfectionist in a lot of ways, but not at all when it comes to painting and turns out the haphazard painting way doesn't work so well.
In fact, that last couple rooms I happened to be pregnant, so my husband painted them and I couldn't be happier lol!
I recently used this tool for painting the vanity in our guest bathroom and it saved me sooooo much time and came out so clean… no paint brush lines, no cutting and then rolling… it's legit amazing.
1000% must have for any DIYer!
17. Frogtape Painter's Tape
Last but not least, if you need to add a little something to the mix for your DIY pal, you can never have enough painter's tape!
In fact, specifically Frogtape is the absolute best, hands-down. This would be another great stocking stuffer!
18. Kreg Pocket Hole Jig
One my DIY pals makes all kinds of amazing barn doors and wood home decor and he said, hands-down, this is the best tool in the DIYer's toolbox! Imma need one of these stat!
