I have a lot of projects lined up, but I wanted to take a second and recap some of my best selling product recommendations from this past year.
Each of these DIY home decor products was used in one of my 2021 projects and are still some of the top things I would recommend for any room makeover.
Let’s get to it!

Cream Textured Area Rug
This item was part of a round up I did on nursery rugs and it was a big hit.
I don’t personally have this rug, but it has great reviews and is an obvious reader favorite.

Make Waves – Clare Paint
Ah yes, Make Waves, how I love you.
This is the most gorgeous color I’ve ever painted with.
This is the accent wall in my daughter’s nursery.
If you’re looking for a subtle green that pairs with almost any accent color, this is the one.

Our Nursery Rug
From that same round up of neutral nursery rugs is the rug we actually went with in my daughter’s nursery.
Two years in and we are still loving it.
Not only does it look great and bring all the colors together, but it hides any whoops-type items, aka crayon marks lol.

Blush Blackout Curtains
Apparently 2021 was the year of loving my daughter’s nursery because here is yet another item from this room that was not only a huge hit with my readers, but is still one of my favorite decor pieces in my whole house.
These curtains are ridiculously inexpensive for the quality you get.
They are blackout curtains and have a super smooth feel.
I love them.
For baby #2, I actually have these in my cart just in case it’s a girl lol.

Powder Room Stencil
A long time favorite is also one of my favorites.
If you haven’t seen the before photos of this bathroom, you have to go see what this bathroom looked like before the stencil.
I always get compliments on how beautiful the wallpaper is in this bathroom, but psych – it’s a stencil!
It’s no wonder this stencil makes the most purchased top ten list this year.
Isn’t it gorgeous?

Patio Egg Chair
If you’re looking for a splurge that’s 100% worth it, this is what to get.
The amount of time I spent in this chair this past spring/summer/fall puts the price of this to pennies per day.
It’s so comfortable and makes you feel like you’re in a fancy cabana at a resort.
Highly, highly recommend.

Nursery Shelves
The best part about these nursery shelves is that they can come in any kind of finish you want.
For my daughter’s room, I bought them unfinished and painted them the same color as the accent wall, Make Waves.
For the new baby’s room, I purchased them in Dark Walnut and then painted a little accent on to them.

Rustoleum Spray Grip
This tool is one of the most handy dandy tools for all your spray painting projects.
I do a lot of these projects because I think spray painting is the quickest and easiest way to totally transform, well, anything.
This spray grip will save your hands and make you look like a spray painting all star.
Win-win.

Glass & Metal Candle Lanterns
These candle lanterns are absolutely perfect.
They are sleek, modern, and super versatile.
I keep it mostly on the patio table, but it looks good on the outdoor buffet and where it currently resides in our dining room atop the special bourbon cabinet lol.
Love, love, love.

Appliance Epoxy
And last, but not least, my secret hack to updating an old, dingy bathroom countertop…
Spray paint it!
You can’t just use any spray paint though.
The appliance epoxy is a must have.
It is holding up surprisingly well and only cost me $10 to update.
The one thing I will say is you have to wear one of those ventilation masks and turn the fan on if you’re doing this in a small room like I was.
If you don’t like the idea of spray painting your countertop, they also sell this same product in roll on version, but I think it would probably add on some time.
