Our Primary Bedroom Makeover Final Reveal
The Before
Oh man, this before… It's like you don't know how sad a room is until you've taken time to make it better. I can't believe we were waking up to this everyday 😂 .
How dull, right?! 😂 oh my gosh, I just canNOT believe that I chose a career in home decorating, but was living like this in my own bedroom.
NOT any more! This project has boosted my mental health SO much. Let me show you the difference…
The Original Plan
I'm a staunch advocate of seeing before buying, so after I made my list of what I wanted to happen in this room and how I wanted it to feel, I was able to come up with my design board.
You can see in the after photos how close it is, but how it really just helped me on a path.
As I continued through my Confident Decorating® design process, I continued to adjust to test things I was actually going to buy before I bought them.
This is a great way to avoid the big purchase returns like for rugs, artwork, etc. Now, full disclosure, I did buy a bunch of different throw pillow covers to test, so I did have a few returns, but none of the big stuff, which is a godsend.
Now let's look at the IRL after pictures.
The After
I'm not going to bore you with all the details, but if you have ANY questions on this space, drop a comment at the end of this post and I will be more than happy to answer them for you.

- My Primary Bedroom Items I Bought on Amazon
Most of what I purchased for this bedroom refresh was found on Amazon. The link above will bring you to all 40 items that I used in this makeover. - The Items I Bought on Wayfair
The artwork above my bed and the reading lamp both came from Wayfair. I did stack the reading lamp on top of a small wicker basket to give it a little more height because I forgot to account for the bend, which brought the lamp too close to the chair when you sat down. - My favorite lightbulbs ever!
These lightbulbs allow you to select the color temperature once you get it into your space, which is great so you eliminate the question of what amount of lumens you need. I used these in the reading lamp.
If you have any questions about where I got anything, don't hesitate to drop a comment or hit me up on Instagram. I hope you loved this reveal! Let me know your favorite part in the comments below! Talk soon!
