Alright, it's beyond time to show you in one space how we went from teal and gold mania to modern vintage amazing.

I had this idea in my head that there was going to be some kind of beachy vibe with bold wall colors and complimentary gold accents…

I was wrong.

It was beachy, for sure. But turns out? Beachy isn't my vibe lol.

I live in the Midwest. Unless you count the dunes, ain't no beaches up in here.

As soon as I finished this room (5 years ago in my baby decorating stages), I knew it had to change.

I never made a plan with a design board or mood board.

I never tested the paint colors to see if they fit the rest of the house.

I just went with it. #regrets

But after getting wise on how this whole decorating scene should work in my own home and then sharing my design knowledge helping clients, I can safely say I finally know what I'm doing.
