A Modern Vintage Christmas Home Tour in Classic Colors
A festive modern meets vintage Christmas home tour to fill you with all the warm, cozy vibes in classic red and green.
I can't believe this, but this is my first Christmas home tour!
Last year, I decorated to the nine's and never photographed it. We are all in luck this year though because I've got the photos to show off my modern vintage Christmas home and the classic colors sprinkled throughout my navy base.
And before we tour, don't forget to double check you have everything ready to rock for the countdown to Christmas.

My Christmas-Inspired Color Palette
I normally do not do red, like at all, because of our crimson and cream masterpiece from the previous owners.
However, this year, I felt like the decor needed a little pop.
After coming out of my fall decor with the yellows, greens, and blues, I needed some more color variation…. and since red and green are the perfect Christmas colors, I decided I would add little hints of red this year.
So my Christmas color palette consists of my standard navy and gray decor paired with touches of deep green and deep red for an all around class Christmas charm.
Christmas Inspiration by Room
If you were visiting my home, you would get the grand tour of all the Christmas goodies sprinkled throughout the decor. So, since we are doing this virtually, I'll take you room by room!
At the end, you'll have to tell me which room is your favorite… mine is the living room for sure, so let's start there!
Living Room

Owls are one of my husband's favorites, so we have owls sprinkled throughout the living room, including the owl tree below.
Spray painting the fireplace was one of the best projects I completed this year. You can see a sneak peak under the living room section of this home tour.
I normally put up two snow shoes around the fireplace, but this year, I was feelin' the minimalist mantel.

If you compare this Christmas home tour to our Fall home tour, you can see how I have my base decor and then adjust things here and there to fit the seasons.
Kitchen
For the kitchen this year, I just added a few touches of winter greenery in a few areas, but I think Lambeau approves.

Entry Way
My first project this year was the DIY Christmas wood sign and I just love it. Not only because I made it, but because it's from my favorite movie and makes me feel all kinds of cozy.
The pillow and rug are from Home Goods and the Santa on the back of the door is from a craft show. All the little non-lit trees are from Hobby Lobby.

Bathroom
Christmas has to continue into the other main area we use all the time, right? lol.
The bathroom that I stenciled last year is still one of my favorite projects!

Thanks Rachel! Christmas is always the coziest time… so fun!
I love your color palette! Everything looks so pretty! Lots of great inspiration! Thanks for sharing!
I like that your colours are somewhat untraditional. I tried this year – thinking I’d do blue but when I saw all the red, gold and silver decorations I couldn’t help myself. I’m also really into gnomes this year. Great post. Thanks for sharing.
Oh my goodness, it’s all so gorgeous!! I am always so impressed by home tours because I could show about 2 rooms in my house and the rest would be disastrous – hah!
I love this! Also those pillows look so dang cozy and soft!
