It's here!! Week 6 of the One Room Challenge has arrived! With the goal to complete one room in 6 weeks, almost 200 of us took the challenge and now get to show you our finished products. You can check out everyone's final reveals here.
It has been an interesting go of it this time around compared to my ORC living room makeover and my ORC home office makeover due to the added adventure of being pregnant this time. However, I have persevered through the tiredness and the laziness and I am so excited to show you our finished bonus room makeover.
Before we get into the good stuff, let me remind you what it looked like before...
Pretty basic, right? My goal for this room was to create a space that could be an adult hang out for guests, or late nights with the new baby, as well as a kid friendly space to house all the toys and serve as the room for playtime. I also wanted to make sure to keep it fun, fresh and playful with space for toy storage, TV and video games, a reading area, a craft area, and snack station. On most levels, I feel like I reached my goal. What do you think?
Lambeau had to be in every picture... he loves the camera!
Yes, that's a hand-painted portrait of Lambeau, our mini Aussie that my husband got for me for Christmas last year. I finally have the perfect home for it! The repurposed closet is awaiting kid art supplies and other small toy storage. Since we haven't met this little person yet, I'm leaving it open for what we will need later.
Those that already have kids, what do you think of my mega toy storage area?
Can you tell we like our board games?
He can't get enough of the camera. Isn't this the sweetest?
Here is Lambeau again enjoying the new space. It's as cozy as he looks!
Be sure to check out the source list below for where I got these awesome pillow covers for a great price!
Those that know me understand my love for giant TV's, but this one takes the cake! I've never had a mounted TV and I'm loving it!!
I can't wait to have little ones ready to climb into this reading nook for a good book. I'll admit, I've already been in there a few times myself.
So, what do you think of our new space? I think I've reached almost every goal. Be sure to check out my source list below in case you are looking to recreate any of this look.
