February Amazon Favorite Finds
1. My Favorite Cable Organizer for Traveling
I'm literally obsessed with this cable organizer. I was constantly having trouble, one, keeping my cords from getting caught on a million things as I pulled them out of my bag, but two, finding the actual cord I needed when I needed it. This completely solved my cord chaos problem.
2. My Essential Travel Backpack
This sounds dramatic, but I literally don't know what I'd do without this bag. I use it for travel on the airplane, in the car, weekend trips, day trips... you name it. It's perfect.
It holds SO much stuff and keeps it completely organized. I also love that it has the band on the back to sit on top of my suitcase without falling over. It also has a stiff top to help you zip and unzip easily.
If you're traveling this year (or ever), it comes in a gazillion colors and is SO chic.
3. The BEST Curling Iron for Thin, Straight Hair
I have really thin hair, but a lot of it. Every single time I go to get my hair done by a professional, it undoubtedly falls out before I even get to my car.
Which is why, I absolutely LOVE this curling iron. It's 3/4-inch to 1-1/4-inch, so I can adjust the curl for various parts of my hair that I know need a tighter wrap.
It's also super fast. I can curl my long hair in less than 20 minutes, spray it, let it cool, and comb through it and it can last days.
If you're looking for a new curling iron, this is a really good one.
4. My New Home Office Desk Chair
I love to get lounge-y when I work and my last home office chair was starting to wear down, so I snagged this one.
It's easy to assemble, can be adjusted to recline or stay upright, and has a pull out footrest that stows away when you're not using it.
I love it! There are a couple things I'd do differently though.
1) I would get pure white instead of the off-white color because it looks duller than I would like.
2) I have a small desk and it doesn't push all the way in, which isn't a huge deal, but I may prefer either a not-so-narrow desk opening or a chair without arms.
Regardless, this chair is really well made and keeps me comfy and cozy throughout the day.
5. My Favorite Sit-on-the-Counter Travel Makeup Bag
I did a whole story set on my Instagram about this travel makeup bag because it's so convenient.
It sits out on the counter, but when you're done, it zips up into a nice compact rectangle. It's super easy to throw in my travel backpack or my suitcase. I'm constantly shocked how much I can fit in there.
This is my go-to for quick weekend trips, car or plane, but if I'm traveling out of the country. I use my hanging toiletry bag, which I'll talk about next.
6. The BEST Toiletry Travel Bag for European Travel
Did you know that my sister got married in France and both my husband and I traveled for 7 days with just a carry-on suitcase and a backpack?
Was it worth it?
10000%
We never had to worry about if our bags would have a place on the trains or if they would make it to our destination with us jumping on various planes.
I would highly recommend it!
A big reason I was able to do it was because of this hanging travel bag. Not only does it fit a ton of stuff (and in my backpack), but the bathroom counters at the places we stayed in Europe were not large enough for my other travel makeup bag to work.
Being able to hang this one from any where was a total game changer in keeping me organized as we bounced around from different areas and it zipped up nice and snug every time.
HIGHLY recommend this one for any travel, but especially European travel.
7. How I Went to Europe for 7 Days with Just a Carry-On Suitcase
So how did I fit all my clothes and everything in a single carry on suitcase for 7 days in Europe?
I'm glad you asked 😂.
These compression cubes made SO much more room in my bag. You can also add labels to the outside with the little cards they provide.
It was absolutely perfect for a chronic over-packer like me.
8. My New Favorite Way to Read Books
Ever try to use your iPad to read books outdoors? Not ideal.
Don't get me wrong, I'm obsessed with my iPad and Apple Pen, but the glare on my books when trying to read outside was making my eyes hurt.
Enter the Kindle Paperwhite!
I love how small and convenient the profile of it is and the ability to switch to night mode for when I'm reading at night or not have to worry about the glare when I'm reading outside.
I never thought I'd get one because of how much I love my iPad, but it was definitely worth it. I read SO much more now!
9. My New Favorite Way to Store Train Sets for Kids
My son just got a huge train set for his birthday, which he absolutely loves (he's 2).
But my mom problem?
All the little pieces everywhere 🤦🏼♀️
Our couch is elevated, so I thought adding these storage containers would be awesome so he could pull it out from under the couch when he wants and put it away easily when he's done.
These are super well built and sturdy. I especially love the half lid open.
The only problem?
I forgot to measure and they are too high. I am going to be using them in our guest room though for under the bed.
Since I still love this idea, I'm waiting for these low-profile ones to get delivered and I'll report back next month.
10. My New Way to Compensate for a Dead Laptop Battery
The battery on my laptop has been dwindling for years now. The whole purpose of a laptop is supposed to be portability, right?! But when it keeps dying unless it's plugged in... well, needless to say, I was getting annoyed.
I did some research and found this portable charger I can throw in my bag when I don't have immediate access to a plug.
It has made it nice to move out of my office and work snuggled on the couch without having to drag cords around.
Definitely not a necessity, but it's really nice to have.
